Following completion of a comprehensive eye examination and visual processing assessment results are discussed with parents. Should significant deficits be found in any of the visual perceptual skill areas then a Vision Therapy program may be recommended.
Appropriate Vision Therapy exercises can help to improve co-ordination and control of eye alignment, eye movements (eye-tracking) and eye focusing.
Sometimes training is necessary to help children to learn how to use their eyes comfortably and effectively. Research and experience has shown that appropriate daily Vision Therapy activities can help to develop and enhance visual perceptual skills, which in turn make it easier for your child to learn.
Should your child be recommended for Vision Therapy, the scope and practice of this therapy intervention will be discussed with you in detail and your child's progress regularly reviewed.
